Finally a good single player Star Wars experience
Visuals are brilliant, the tombs are challenging enough .. takes a while to get used to .. the game is pretty detailed in terms of graphics and hence might appear to get stuck at times, but the stunning visuals make.up for that .. story is good overall, and makes for an immersive gameplay specially from a Jedi stand point. The boss battles are interesting and one major flaw has to be the edges specially when it comes to jumping and climbing, appears a little glitchy .. but the story and gameplay make it a worthwhile buy

A Star Wars game done right!
Best Star Wars game since Jedi Academy and a much better story than The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. This game is a souls like, which means the combat is a little challenging if you are not used to Souls like parry based combat but the level design and combat inspirations it takes are very well implemented leading to hours of fun using your force powers and lightsaber moves.A MUST BUY if you are an OG Star Wars fan!

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Review
Star Wars is a series that needs little-to-no introduction due to its prominent role in pop-culture. Ever since the series first played on the big screen in 1977, the Star Wars franchise has managed to find success in every endeavor they’ve explored in; be it films, toys, animated series, novels, comics etc. But one medium the franchise has struggled in to find the same level of success is the gaming industry. Over the years, license to make the games have switched hands; from Parker Brothers to LucasArts to EA, who currently holds the rights to produce the video games. The Star Wars video games under EA are known as “the third era” of Star Wars games and every game that is released in the third era is considered to be canonical to the main series. The latest release in the third era is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Is it any good or does it fall under the stigma of being average like most of the games? Let’s find out.IntroductionSet five years after the events of Stars Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and fifteen years before Episode IV – A New Hope. The story follows Cal Kestis, a former Jedi Padawan (Jedi trainee) who is in hiding from the Empire. After his discovery by the Empire’s Ninth Sister, an Inquisitor (individuals tasked with finding and eliminating all remaining Jedi) Cal sets out on an adventure to re-establish the Jedi order while at the same time facing his past. While the experience is more enjoyable for those aquatinted with Star Wars lore, people who are not that well-versed can still enjoy the story and experience.GameplayThe game is broken up into worlds with certain sections blocked off till you learn a skill that is required to get past the obstacle. You control Cal in these worlds in a third person perspective accompanied by combat that is, to a certain extent similar to From Software’s Sekiro. You use your Lightsaber, which is customizable in appearance to block and attack enemies. Along with blocking, You can also parry attacks if you time the block just right which drains enemy stamina quicker. Stamina is something you and human enemies have and drains the more you block and deflect attacks. Once the gauge drains completely—you/the enemy stagger for a few seconds which leaves you or the enemy open for attacks. None human enemies do not have a stamina gauge. Something else to point out is that while blocking does deflect most attacks, there are openings which can help you land attacks even if enemies that are actively blocking. While the system is reminiscent of Sekiro’s gameplay—this version of it is much more forgiving and if it’s too easy for you? There is a difficulty option which you can switch at any time from the option menu. The game also offers a skill tree which is available at meditation spots scattered throughout the world. You need skill points to use on each tree, which you get by defeating enemies. Skills are divided into three sections; Force, Lightsaber and Survival. Force based skills focus more on strengthening your force abilities while the Lightsaber focuses on increasing your combat prowess by unlocking new moves for your Lightsaber and Survival primarily focuses on health upgrades. While we’re on the topic of the meditation spots, like we mentioned earlier—it’s the spot where you unlock new abilities, but along with that, it has a few more uses in the game. The other uses also reflect on mechanics found in From Software’s titles; mostly being checkpoints where you can continue if you die in-game to a boss or enemy. If you die to an enemy—you end up losing a certain amount of experience you’ve gained (experience is what fills up to form skill points) you can regain the lost experience by going back to the enemy you lost to and manages to land a blow. Meditation also refills your health stems which is the game’s version of health packs. You start-off with two stems and find more scattered throughout the game world. The game also features platforming elements which shares a resemblance to Ubisoft’s early Prince of Persia titles, more specifically—Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time or Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider reboot series. Platforming mostly involves wall running, wall climbing, jumping etc. These are how you get around in the game world. The animations involved in these actions all feel extremely similar to how Lara Croft handled in the reboot series. In short, Jedi Fallen Order’s gameplay felt like an amalgamation of various other systems from different games that revolutionized the industry’s standards and further extended the idea of capabilities possible in-game. Instead of setting a new standard, the game, much like many titles—followed a string of pre-existing systems/mechanics. This is by no means a bad thing, but is bit disappointing all the same.Performance (Visuals & Audio)The developers, Respawn Entertainment are mostly known for their titles like TitanFall, TitanFall 2 and Apex Legends. All of these games run fairly well but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case with Jedi Fallen Order.Jedi Fallen Order renders at 1080p on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X and 900p and 720p on PS4 and Xbox One S respectively. The Xbox One X and PS4 Pro offers the option to switch between Quality mode and Performance mode. By choosing Quality mode—it bumps up the resolution to 1440p on Xbox One X and 1260p on PS4 Pro. Performance mode keeps the resolution at 1080p on both platforms and focuses on providing a 60 FPS experience which the game fails to maintain. The frame rate drops on all platforms with Xbox One S being the most effected. The frame rate drops are manageable to a certain extent but the next issue is something that even an untrained eye would notice. That’s the visuals. The general visuals are good and something you’d come to expect from a huge budget title this generation. But all that’s dwarfed by the game’s technical issues such as pop-ins, mid-game asset loads etc. during our time with the game we’ve noticed on countless occasions where textures just pops-in while loading a new area and we’ve had moments where the screen would just freeze for a few seconds just so the game could load-in the assets. All this makes the game feel unpolished and these issues still exist even after installing the latest patch. Luckily, the issues only seem to persist during exploration and not during actual combat. But it still does give the impression that the game’s launch was rushed to coincide with the release of the latest film and Mandalorian series on Disney+.The game manages to maintain great audio work. Be it the voice acting or musical score. The game’s music manages to stay true to the source material by matching much of the score used in the movies. Even minor sound effects like the buzzing noise the Lightsabers sound exceptional well made.ConclusionRespawn Entertainment managed to create an enjoyable experience by tailoring together a great cast of characters, narrative and gameplay. While certain technical issues do hamper the game from excellence, it is still none-the-less one of the most enjoyable experiences we’ve had with a Star Wars game and is definitely something a Star Wars fan should check out.ScoresStory 8/10Gameplay 8/10Performance 5/10Total 21/30A 70% approval rate.(Note: The game was play tested on a Standard PS4 with the latest patches installed. Screenshots attached along with the review were taken during our play session using the PS4’s screen capture feature.)

The Force is really strong with this one.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order beautifully blends different elements from different games.Narrative styles like Uncharted and God of War’s and gameplay/combat style like the Souls series. I can compliment the Respawn Team forever for the amount of love and effort they’ve put into this masterpiece. Being a fan of Star Wars just makes it twice as better..Amazon’s delivery was awesome, no problems with that. This game is a must-own for every gamer. May the Force be with you!

Decent game – could have been better
To be honest, it is a decent gameHowever, for me, it was not a star wars game, and rather just a game based in star wars universe. You are far too underpowered (the reasons for which are explained in the story). But when you have memories of playing jedi academy, force unleashed, or KOTOR, you cant help but feel as if you are massively held back. The visuals are amazing, the story is decent, and you cover planets that you have only read about in books or seen on series. However, there is no major advantage to exploring, as all the collectables give only cosmetic changes. The powers that you do gain by completing levels are something that you used to have by default in other games – so you dont get that feeling of achievement or awe or wonder. It tried to incorporate the best parts of multiple games (amazing visuals of uncharted, boss fights similar to dark souls, etc). The problem is, those games have done these elements better, and while this remains a very good game, you dont feel like a ‘Force’ user.
