A really great game in the Yakuza series.But this one is very different to the earlier yakuza’s as it is not based in modern day but at a time when the samurai started to use guns and swords and guns became mixed into combat techniques. The graphics are great. The best thing about this game is it plays like most of the other previous yakuza’s as they went back to the action style of gameplay which is what makes the Yakuza franchise great. This was the right move. The gameplay is what you would expect from yakuza. You can explore and wander around Kyo and do various activities including training at dojos and even drinking and dancing. They even did a karaoke for this one aswell. There is also alot of comedy and seriousness aswell in the story of Ishin.Which is why we love yakuza franchise like we do. The gameplay is very different in terms of you can use a sword, hand to hand combat, guns and the wild dancer style which combines gun and sword combat together. Wild dancer happens to be my favorite but all have very effective techniques that you learn as you progress.There is also various training schools which also help to improve techniques. This is excellent as it makes it that more interesting and adds more realism. There are also ways of earning money like chopping wood and going out on missions at shisingumi base.It is a very fun game and the story is great aswell. They also took alot of the previous yakuza characters and used their appearances for various different people in the game. All in all it is a great game and if your interested in the samurai type games then this is the one to play.
