It’s pretty good game
I always wanted to play the Assassins Creed series games. And I read the other reviews from different people here on Amazon regarding this game before buying it. It’s pretty good game.I am a big fan of first person shootout games, it give bit different experience while playing this game. Mission are almost similar to each other.

Um… wow. I just finished playing this game this evening (no, I haven’t finished it, I am just done for the evening… I just know somebody is already clicking the comment button… “you didn’t finish this game you corporate plant!!!!” No, I’m not a plant either. Maybe a zombie. Right now anyway), and this will be the only review I write for the xbox one. This game brings back what was best about Assassin’s Creed 2 and basically removes everything from Assassin’s Creed 3. Like AC 2, AC 4 has a suave, interesting character (less moral, though, at least so far… but fun) — rather than a whiny, angry kid with no appeal drawn from an ultra-liberal politically correct manual that makes the average liberal wince and the average conservative throw the remote across the room (AC 3 anyone?). No one will ever have the appeal of Ezio Auditore, but the characters in this game draw you in like AC did at its best.Unlike AC 3, exploration in AC 4 is loads of fun. It doesn’t feel like work. Every street of Havana is full of color and life, and sunshine (nice in the winter here by Puget Sound; also, nice in the summer when it rains everyday). I found myself wandering the streets, staring at people, and climbing buildings just for fun — I even have been doing side quests — it’s what it felt like to be in AC 2, where it is a joy to experience the world they have created. I just rushed through AC 3, and I hated exploration… it always felt like work. Caribbean islands and seas are nothing short of remarkable on the xbox one.Controls feel smooth and familiar, offering you more choices in combat (like in the Ezio trilogy, but unlike AC 3… see a theme yet?), buying stuff matters again, and I find myself excited about an AC game for the first time since Ezio. Honestly, I may end up liking this game even more than the Ezio trilogy. Big words, I know, but this game really takes the Xbox One out for a spin. Gorgeous, simply unbelievable setting and graphics. After BF 4 I thought I was impressed by the Xbox One, but it is AC 4 that has really made me excited about the next generation of gaming and glad I invested the money to buy it. This is the first game that I don’t feel bad in the slightest paying $60 since Skyrim. Even BF 3+4 and COD require expensive season passes to get the full value of the game… AC 4 on Xbox One is the best value for the money of any game out there.— EDIT 11/17/14 —Well, about a year has passed. I don’t usually update my reviews, but because this review is listed on the home page and seems to get a lot of viewing, I wanted to do my civic duty and update it.First, I still haven’t beat it. I constantly got caught up in the side stories and never did finish the main story. Part of that is because, well, the main story just isn’t all that amazing, and it really doesn’t fit with open world very well. You either do side stuff or the main story. I guess that’s par for the course, but truly compelling writing would not allow that. You get bored of most games eventually, so it isn’t fair to criticize the game for that, really it is the total hours spent before getting bored that matters, as well as the sense of satisfaction at “beating” a game — which never happened (obviously). In the end I got distracted by newer games. Watch Dogs, for instance, had much more staying power — I did get bored, but only after beating it and loving it.Bottom line? I guess I feel like this game is gorgeous, a wonderful early game for Xbox One, but not truly compelling. I never did learn to care all that much for the characters, though they were fun, and I never really learned to care about the story. Storming bases and capturing ships was really fun, but got old — which is allowed, you won’t enjoy anything forever — but the story falling flat is much harder to forgive. At the current price, though, this game is a wonderful bargain. I don’t regret buying it at all, and I stand behind my original review. I got to beat it now so I can play the next installment (which sounds pretty broken right now).On a side note — Battlefield 4 turned out to flop — that seems worth pointing out as I reference that in my review. Titanfall was the winning shooter of Xbox Year 1 for me. Feel free to pour on the hate. 🙂

I played the original and found it repetitive and boring. AC 2 added depth that locked me in but characters with weak development and running across rooftops of cities that all looked the same didn’t do it for me. From AC 2 until AC 4 I was bored and not impressed.Thankfully, AC 4 is amazing. I’ve never been a huge fan of scaling and running across rooftops. Especially with AC’s often times inaccurate free-run. AC 4 solved this problem for me by essentially taking the city running and replacing it with ocean running. Sailing your own customization ship through gorgeous open waters, plundering ships and discovering chests, gold fleets, forts to conquer and hidden objects turned a game where finding collectibles went from tedious to the most fun aspect. The combat in every regard is great, as is the ability to sail. The controls are simple yet deep enough to always be fun.The only complaints I have are the story and free running. The story is not really an AC story until about 2/3rds through the game but that is not to say the story is bad. In fact, I found this to be the most engaging and character driven story of the lot.The largest drawback is the wonky free run system. I often found myself trying to scale up or jump off of things I did not intend. It was frustrating at times but never broke the game. This is the only game in which finding all the extras has actually been fun for me and I found myself doing EVERYTHING in the game from following treasure maps to building my own trade fleet. YES! You can build and manage your own trade fleet and it is much more intuitive than managing trade or assassin’s in previous games.Great game.

Finally, there is a game you no longer have to choose between being a ninja and being a pirate!Graphics – 7/10Graphics in this game range from beautiful for some landscape views to a bit underwhelming when it comes to character close ups (hair is particularly static and unrealistic). It seems like this was just a port from xbox 360 and not designed for the next gen systemSailing – 10/10The open world environment lets you take you ship anywhere you want to go while you crew sings whatever sea shanties you have collected. Dynamic weather can trigger storms and waterspouts that can damage and destroy ships. Sailing into some ports or coves can be very visually spectacular.Ship Combat – 10/10I have played many pirate games, but UBI Soft has nailed ship combat. Massive broadsides, mortars and ship to ship boarding are a lot of fun and very replayable. This is probably one of the best features of the gameEdward Kenny’s Storyline – 9/10Interact with real historical characters like Blackbeard and Charles Vane in real historical events. Main missions are quite interesting for the most partReal world storyline – 5/10If you have played any assasin’s creed games, you already be familiar with a separate storyline that is happening in modern day. This game follows the same suite, picking up where AC 3 left off, but is more than a bit tedious and not very engaging .Side missions – 6/10As with any Assasin’s Creed game, there are a lot of side missions to complete if you are going for the completionist. About half are these are less interesting, repetitive grinds and some are quite fun.ConclusionThis is definitely the best AC game of the series for me, so if you liked any of them or you like pirates games you will probably like this one.

I’m not a purist when it comes to the Assasins Creed series, but I have played several of the titles. I played as Altair in the original title, dabbled a little bit with Ezio in the sequel, and then majority of my play took place in AC3 with Connor Kenway during the revolution. The first two and even some of the third game kept becoming repetitive with the tasks, and missions. Even though the graphics have always been top notch, the gameplay always seemed to become stale. Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag is the first game in the series where I haven’t grown completely bored after completing a few missions/side missions/side quests. There’s always something to do in AC4 and the scenery is pretty amazing as you do it. The naval gameplay has been beefed up and that was one of the most compelling aspects of AC3. Once you take your ship –The Jackdaw out into the Caribbean Sea, this game really starts to shine. Between all the upgrades, purchases, treasure hunts, templar assassinations, viewpoint synchronizations, shanty chases,. and naval battles, this Assassins Creed will keep you busy and you’ll have a lot of fun in the process. A key highlight in this game for me was when I pulled the ship over to an area in the water where a bull shark was spotted. A boat was lowered down and Edward and his gang start spear fishing. This is one of my favorite mini games. The graphics are incredible and the gameplay is above average for an AC title. I would recommend this game just to enjoy the detail and beauty of Ubisofts recreation of the Caribbean.
