I picked up this Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 game for PS5 and overall it’s been a lot of fun, especially if you’re a fan of the series. The combat is fast and satisfying, and there is a surprising amount of content packed into the story mode and parallel quests. The ability to create and customise your own character is one of the stand-out features and keeps you coming back even after finishing the main campaign.Visually it still captures the Dragon Ball aesthetic well, and on PS5 the load times are much improved compared with older versions. Playing through the hub city, completing quests, and unlocking new moves and abilities has kept my family busy for weeks. There’s also online play and multiplayer content if you want to jump into battles with others.Some parts of the game can feel repetitive after a while, particularly if you play a lot of similar missions back to back, and the story beats aren’t always the most engaging. A few gameplay elements are a bit grindy and the pacing can slow down at times, but for the most part it’s fun and addictive, especially if you like leveling up and experimenting with builds.Overall, this feels like a classic Dragon Ball experience on PS5 with plenty of gameplay, strong customisation, and enough variety to keep my family entertained.
